In My Hands

In My Hands

My camera feels like home.

Not comfort,

belonging.

K9 photography runs in my blood,

all instinct and fire.

This isn’t a choice.

It’s a call I answer

every time I lift the lens.

Behind the camera,

the world goes quiet.

Time holds its breath.

There’s only that split second

ears, eyes, soul aligned

when I capture what I feel,

not just what I see.

Click.

And my heart lights up.

This is my language.

This is my passion.

This is where I burn.
